Allen Family Living, Inc. is a for-profit organization that provides the opportunity for a person with disabilities to have the choice of living in a safe and secure home environment as an alternative to living in a group home or institution.  Allen Family Living values the importance of culture and ensures that service delivery to all persons is delivered in a culturally sensitive manner. Philosophy Statement

Allen Family Living, Inc. considers the rights of persons with disabilities to have the right to choose to live in and experience living in a home environment instead of a group home or institution.  The organization provides training and a close, personal association with their care providers to keep in touch with staff and ensure that their skill levels and knowledge of up-to-date care and treatment of persons with disabilities are being accomplished. Vision Statement

Allen Family Living, Inc. envisions maintaining home environments for persons with disabilities as an alternative to group homes or institutions.  The staff of Allen Family Living, Inc. works in partnership with persons served, families, care providers, Partners Behavioral Health Management, care providers from other agencies, and people in the community who may encourage persons with disabilities to choose to live in and remain in safe and secure home environments.  All aspects of care reflect Allen Family Living Inc.’s commitment to service persons with disabilities with excellence and dignity.  Staff treats persons served with compassion, respect, and support consistent with the dignity of living with disabilities.   Allen Family Living values the importance of culture and ensures that service delivery to all persons is delivered in a culturally sensitive manner. AFL – Alternative Family Living

Alternative Family Living is a program which provides people with developmental disabilities a family to assist them in achieving success by improving his/her sense of self by achieving goals, which include daily living skills and appropriate socialization within the family and the community.  The focus of this placement is to give individualized support which can best be promoted within a stable family environment.  The AFL provider is a person who provides support to assist the individuals in meeting their physical, emotional, and developmental needs.  We take pride in making the very best match between the individual and the AFL provider.
